Consignment Policy

Last updated: 17th April 2026

This Consignment Agreement (“Agreement”) sets forth the terms and conditions between Bunboo Ltd, doing business as Bunboo London (“Bunboo”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), and the Consignor (“you”, “your”).

By submitting items for consignment, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the following terms.

Section 1 - Parties and Scope

Bunboo is a luxury resale and consignment platform operated by Bunboo Ltd (Company No. 11106233, VAT No. GB336982758), registered at 2 Murdock Road, Bicester, Oxfordshire OX26 4PP, with a principal business address at 18 Woodstock Street, London, W1C 2AL, United Kingdom.

This Agreement governs all items consigned, authenticated, listed, and sold through Bunboo.

Section 2 - Definitions

For the purposes of this Agreement:

  • “Consignor” means any individual or entity who entrusts items to Bunboo for resale.
  • “Item(s)” refers to goods submitted to Bunboo for authentication and sale.
  • “Sale Price” means the final amount paid by the buyer, inclusive of VAT if applicable.
  • “Commission” means the fee retained by Bunboo for consignment and marketing services.
  • “Payout” means the net proceeds payable to the Consignor after all deductions.
  • “Term” refers to the 180-day standard consignment period.
  • “Custody Period” means the period beginning when Bunboo has physically received and accepted the Item and ending when the Item is either returned to the Consignor or sold and delivered to the buyer.

Section 3 - Authentication and Acceptance

All consigned items must undergo Bunboo’s dual authentication process, which includes:

  1. Entrupy authentication, and
  2. Bunboo’s in-house expert inspection evaluating material, craftsmanship, and brand standards.

If an item fails authentication, it will be classified as counterfeit or non-compliant. Administrative fees apply as follows:

  • £100 per non-Hermès item
  • £200 per Hermès item
  • £300 per Hermès exotic item

Bunboo reserves the right to retain any unauthenticated item until all outstanding fees are paid.

Authentication results are final and binding and Bunboo is not required to disclose the detailed rationale.

Section 4 - Consignment Process

Upon submission, Bunboo will assess eligibility based on product information and images.

Items that do not meet quality or documentation standards may be declined.

For accepted items:

  • An initial quotation will be provided within 48 hours.
  • The Consignor must confirm acceptance within three (3) calendar days.
  • Items must be shipped within seven (7) business days to Bunboo’s London boutique (18 Woodstock Street, W1C 2AL), including tracking details.

After receipt and verification, Bunboo will complete authentication and issue a final quotation and certificate within five (5) business days.

If approved, the item will be listed on Bunboo’s website and partner platforms.

Section 5 - Pricing and Listing

Item pricing is determined by Bunboo based on market trends, item condition, packaging completeness, and buyer demand.

Bunboo may adjust prices at its discretion to reflect current market conditions or promotional campaigns.

Approved items are listed within five (5) business days following authentication.

Section 6 - Consignment Period

The standard consignment period (“Term”) is 180 days from the listing date.

During the consignment term, the Consignor may not withdraw any Item except with Bunboo’s prior written approval and subject to the applicable handling or administrative fees set out in this Agreement.

Upon expiry, Bunboo may:

a. Continue listing the item,

b. Adjust its sale price, or

c. Notify the Consignor to collect or arrange a return.

Requests to withdraw items within the Term will incur handling fees of:

  • £100 per non-Hermès item
  • £200 per Hermès item
  • £300 per Hermès exotic item

Bunboo reserves the right to retain possession of any Item until all outstanding fees, charges, and expenses due under this Agreement have been paid in full.

Section 7 - Commission and Fees

Bunboo applies a confidential commission structure based on client type and item category.

The applicable rate will be communicated prior to listing.

Standard deductions include:

  • VAT (20%) on the commission,
  • Platform transaction fees, and
  • Shipping or handling costs arranged by Bunboo.

All applicable deductions will be detailed in the final payout statement.

Section 8 - Sales and Payouts

After an Item is sold and the applicable buyer return period has expired, Bunboo will remit the Payout within five (5) business days, subject to receipt of cleared funds and completion of any necessary fraud, compliance, or transaction verification checks.

Payments are made via bank transfer in GBP to the Consignor’s registered account.

An electronic invoice will be issued within one (1) business day of transaction completion.

The Consignor acknowledges that payout amounts represent the net proceeds after all deductions.

Section 9 - Withdrawal, Delisting, and Unsold Items

The Consignor may not withdraw or modify any item or listing during the active consignment term.

In exceptional circumstances, Bunboo may, at its sole discretion, approve a withdrawal request, which will incur an administrative fee of £100 per non-Hermès item or £200 per Hermès item or £300 per Hermès exotic item.

Administrative fees are subject to VAT and will be invoiced accordingly by Bunboo at the time of charge.

Once a buyer’s deposit has been received, the sale is considered binding and irreversible, and the item cannot be withdrawn or modified under any circumstance.

If an item remains unsold after one hundred and eighty (180) days, Bunboo will contact the Consignor to decide whether to:

a. Extend the consignment period,

b. Adjust the selling price, or

c. Arrange for return of the item.

If no response is received within three (3) business days, Bunboo reserves the right to continue listing the Item, reduce the price, place the Item into storage at the Consignor’s cost, or otherwise take reasonable steps in accordance with this Agreement and company policy.

Section 10 - Custody, Insurance and Liability
